In recent years, the quiet and remote Teekkarikylä has developed into a lively district where studying, startup life and creativity intersect. At the heart of the area is Aalto University with its campus areas. Otaniemi’s own metro station guarantees good public transport links. Urban and innovative atmosphere is counterbalanced by excellent marine outdoor activities in the area, and the trails in the Laajalahti nature reserve, for example, can be reached directly from Otaniemi.
