New student homes at Kalasatama in Helsinki
This multi-story building located near Kalasatama metro station has total of 180 homes for students.
The apartments have white walls and light-colored floor. The kitchen cabinets are light beige color, the tiles are dark grey, and the countertop is black. Each apartment has an dishwasher and versatile space for sorting even seven different types of waste. Some of the sorting bins are in the kitchen and some in the hallway closet. Some apartments have French balconies.
At the first floor of the building there is a common yoga room and student lounge. There is also a bike storage and laundry room for tenants to use for free. Adjacent to the laundry room there is a club room where tenants can spend time while their laundry is getting washed. At the top floor there is a tenant sauna and a roof terrace.
Vanha Talvitie 23 is car-free property. Each tenant has their own numbered space for their bike in outdoor equipment storage.
Kalasatama has good connections to downtown Helsinki by walking, biking, or public transport. The metro takes you all the way to Espoo and tram connection to Pasila will be completed during the year 2024.
